OVERVIEW: Hanalei Company was launched with goal of creating gentle, restorative skincare products using ingredients from the Hawaiian Islands. They wanted to find investors to help their launch. The company had no physical products to begin, so they were in need of other visual materials for investors.

PROBLEM: Without having actual products to show, the concept of what the products would be had to be shown without faking the products. Also, as a look-book, I needed to create something that was not too wordy. What I had to work with were ideas and stock images.

SOLUTION: We built a theme around travel, nature, and exotic ingredients. To illustrate a natural look in line with the theme, I used hand-drawn images to represent the product line in conjunction with stock images that accurately convey the ingredients and locations.

RESULT: Hanalei Company gained investors to start, and now has 21 products being sold. The company still uses the look-book as a guideline for their marketing.
